Domestic oil boilers should be serviced annually to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the oil boiler, increased lifespan of the boiler and to comply with home insurance requirements.
All oil boilers manufacturers recommend an oil boiler to be serviced annually.
An average oil boiler service will take between 45 to 90 minutes depending on the type of boiler,
the last time it was serviced and the condition of the boiler. The cost of a service will also depend on the type of boiler, the last time it was serviced and the condition of the boiler.
I am registered and insured to service or repair your oil boiler and I am OFT 101, 105E , 600a
certified.
After the service is complete you will receive a cd11 cert. This cert will have your details, my
details and your boiler details on it and is a record of your boiler service. In an unfortunate event such as a fire, an oil leak, a water leak, a carbon monoxide incident your house insurance will require a copy of this cert. You will also receive a printout from a flue gas analyser. An analyser is used to test the flue gases and to ensure complete combustion and that your boiler is working in a safe way and working at its most efficient which will reduce oil consumption. The printout from the analyser will have a date and time on it and this is your actual proof that your boiler was serviced and is working to its maximum efficiency. A worksheet will be attached to the cd11 cert and flue gas analyser print out and this is a record of what was done during the service.
